iCostRecipes is an iPhone utility for cooks and small-scale food businesses that calculates recipe costs, manages ingredient databases, converts measurements, and stores personal recipe collections.

Business Purpose & Overview

iCostRecipes is an iPhone productivity app for home cooks and small food businesses that need to estimate the cost of recipes. Users build an ingredient catalog, define measurements and conversions, create recipes, and see calculated costs per dish.

Technical Architecture

iCostRecipes is a single-tier iPhone app written in Objective-C with UIKit. It uses custom model objects for recipes, ingredients, and measurements, and standard UITableView-driven navigation for browsing, adding, and editing records. The app was built with Xcode 3.1 for iPhone OS 3.0+.
